Rosendahl produces products and turnkey solutions for wire and cable manufacturing and in 2009 will celebrate fifty years in the industry. In this time, Rosendahl has grown into a global supplier of manufacturing technology for the production of datacom, RF and coaxial cables, automotive, power and optical fibre cables.

Rosendahls performance and growth in both turnover and employees over the past years demand an expansion of office and production facilities at the Pischelsdorf, Austria headquarters. Currently about 260 people are employed there and the facility will be expanding to an area of 75,000m.

Key points in Rosendahls history:

  • 1959 Walter Rosendahl established Rosendahl
  • 1965 Development of the first extrusion line
  • 1971 Introduction of the SZ-stranding development
  • 1978 The first fibre optic cable line was built
  • 1997 Rosendahl becomes part of the Knill Gruppe
  • 2002 Introduction of RF welding and corrugation technology
  • 2005 Nextrom becomes part of the Knill Gruppe
  • 2006 Introduction of ROEX extruder generation

Along with the 50th anniversary another great event is taking place in 2009. This summers Intercable Russia will hold its conferences in Austria, organised and served by Rosendahl and Nextrom.

Rosendahl and Nextrom offer manufacturing solutions in the fields of extrusion, SZ-stranding, fibre optics, forming, welding and corrugation in close cooperation with customers and product suppliers. With a focus on ongoing development, Rosendahl provides systems for the manufacture of power cables utilising its core competences in metal tape forming and corrugation applications for armouring high and extra high voltage power cables, SZ stranding for screening applications as well as for handling sector-shaped conductors.

Rosendahl and Nextrom look forward to welcoming partners and industry colleagues at Interwire, Cleveland, USA and at wire Russia 2009 to present their fields of expertise.
